FINE MOTOR SKILLS WORKSHOP BY DR PADMASHREE BALLAL
A Worshop on Fine Motor Skills Development was conducted by Dr Ballal for parents of Pre Primary School. Dr Padmashree Ballal, an experienced educator in the education field explained the milestones related to fine motor skills in young children. She created an awareness about the importance of fine motor development in early childhood and provided practical strategies to support their children’s growth at home. Parents participated enthusiastically in various activities and gamessuch as lacing beads, using tongs, sand play, squeezing ball, folding napkins and newspaper, popsicle sticks, straws, stacking glass and construction with blocks to better understand the kind of exercises beneficial for children, to improvise their hand–eye coordination and strengthening their fine motor muscles.The response from parents was very positive. Many appreciated the efforts of the management and expressed interest in having more sessions. They found the tips shared to be practical and easy to implement and beneficial for their children’s overall development. The workshop met its goal of equipping parents with knowledge and tools to use fine motor development in children. It highlighted the vital role parents play in early learning and continued collaboration between home and school to ensure children’s development.
